
Trade Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in Canberra, AU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of export control regulations associated with Leidos AU programs from an ITC perspective for a particular line of business.
- Update the RAMMCO database with appropriate export control classifications.
- E nsure all Customs requirements are addressed and records maintained for hardware movements.
- Process regulatory permits i.e. Dangerous goods, or the Dept. of Environment if they need SGG/ODS.
- Process internal compliance documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Assist to investigate and/or resolve compliance problems and queries as required by staff and stakeholders.
- Determine jurisdiction classification of parts and components in collaboration with the Technical Assessor.
- Perform ITAR screening for all employees.
- Manage the Technology Control Plan for a particular line of business.
- Conduct Denied Party screening checks.
- Process travel requests.
Requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail skills.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Able to work effectively with various stakeholders and suppliers at different levels.
- Natural communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work proactively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role is desired.
This position requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to hold and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
