Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Policy and Engagement Specialist to join our team.

The Taskforce is leading work across Commonwealth Government agencies to simplify Australia's international trade regulations, modernize outdated ICT systems, and strengthen Australia's economic resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and develop briefing products, policy advice, and talking points.
  • Influence trade simplification objectives and monitor strategic developments across Government.
  • Develop productive relationships with Government agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings and provide high-quality secretariat support.
  • Support planning and reporting through status updates and compliance risk identification.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we require a strong background in stakeholder engagement, APS experience, written communication skills, and the ability to craft high-quality briefs, talking points, and meeting notes. Ideal candidates should be flexible, adaptable, and resilient in a highly contested environment.
