Your Role

As an educator at Goodstart, you will focus on providing high-quality care and education to children while working towards a Certificate III qualification. You will maintain a safe environment, comply with national standards, and build strong relationships with children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and families
  • Contribute to the development of the education program in your room and centre
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and their families
  • Support continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must not have completed a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification outside of secondary school in the last 7 years. Applicants who have completed a school-based certificate other than in childcare are also eligible.

Requirements

  • A valid right to work in Australia
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Flexibility and availability to meet the needs of the service
  • Interest in early childhood education and development
  • A willingness to undergo a Working with Children Check
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status
