Early Childhood Education Career Starter

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Educator. As a key member of our education program, you will play a vital role in giving children the best possible start to their school journey.

Working closely with our Centre Leadership Team and other educators, you will be empowered to forge your career while studying towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care. Our supportive environment ensures that you receive the training and guidance needed to excel in this rewarding role.

  • Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children, families, and colleagues.
  • Complying with National Quality Standards (NQS) and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children and families through effective communication and active engagement.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the education program in the room and centre.
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.

To be eligible for this traineeship, you must not hold a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last 7 years. You may still be eligible if you have completed a school-based certificate other than in childcare.

In addition to the above requirements, you must:

  • Demonstrate a willingness and motivation to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.
  • Hold a permanent right to work in Australia.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show good time management and organisational abilities.
  • Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Display enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards early years education.
  • Show flexibility in your availability.
  • Have an interest in early childhood education and care.
  • Hold a Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Provide proof of immunisation against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella and Whooping Cough (Pertussis).
