Premises Preservation Specialist

We are looking for a seasoned professional to preserve the optimal condition and functionality of our premises. As a Maintenance Technician, you will undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks, including painting, HVAC installations, and landscaping.

The ideal candidate will be a meticulous individual with a practical mind and attention to detail. You will work autonomously and responsibly, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Our goal is to maintain our buildings and common areas in pristine condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Survey our buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels
  • Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, and conduct repairs as needed
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when necessary
  • Perform manual repairs when required (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
  • Conduct pest control activities, including spraying insecticide
  • Undertake general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
  • Assist in preparing and managing budgets to ensure responsible spending
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field desirable
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) an asset

Estimated Annual Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
