Family Support Role

In this vital role, you will work closely with families in their homes and communities, providing intensive support tailored to the needs of children, young people, and their families.

You will implement evidence-based interventions, including parenting strategies and practical life skills coaching, to empower families to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing home visits and engaging in early intervention strategies to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes
  • Supporting families to access community resources, education, and employment pathways
  • Working alongside Child Safety and other government and community stakeholders to deliver wrap-around support
  • Completing documentation and case notes in line with legislative and organisational requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or being willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement
  • Available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers)
  • Valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle
  • Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
  • Experience working with young people/children
  • Experience working in related fields, i.e. Family Support, Child Safety, family development and other Family related roles
