About the Role

As a support worker, you will deliver vital outreach to vulnerable families, caregivers, children, and young people in suburban areas.

This full-time opportunity supports a multidisciplinary team approach, helping families at risk with information, skill development, and support strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with families, building trust, and obtaining consent for support services.
  • Developing and implementing case plans that respond to unmet needs and protection concerns.
  • Working collaboratively with various services and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Advocating for families and supporting them through complex challenges and emotional difficulties.
  • Building culturally sensitive and respectful relationships with diverse families.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Services or a related field.
  • Experience in delivering family support services, with a focus on prevention and intervention.
  • Cultural competency with the ability to work sensitively across cultures.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for social justice and making a difference in the lives of children and families.
