About the Drug Court Operations Role
The Magistrates' Court is a key jurisdiction within the Courts Group, handling over 300,000 cases annually at 51 locations. This represents approximately 90 percent of all Victorian court cases each year.
The Drug Court is a division of the Magistrates' Court and administers Drug and Alcohol Treatment Orders (DATOs). Participants receive a judicially supervised treatment regime.
Our team enables the delivery of strategic priorities for each jurisdiction while pursuing interconnected opportunities that deliver broader benefits.
About the Position
The Drug Court Operations Manager oversees the implementation and operational management of the MCV Drug Court Dandenong. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team to promote high performance and ongoing professional development.
In this pivotal position, you will work alongside the Judiciary team with a therapeutic focus and have an opportunity to effect enduring change in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow relationships with stakeholders and local community services.
- Provide local and operational insights to support strategic planning and service promotion.
- Lead a team to promote high performance and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in social work, welfare, drug and alcohol fields, or related areas, with a special interest in managing health and welfare staff.
- Experience in leadership/senior management roles, including supervision of staff within complex environments.
- A minimum of three years in a management/leadership role is required.
- A tertiary qualification in health, social work, welfare, or related fields is desired.
