Job Title: Bridge and Wharf Maintenance Leader

Central Coast Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge and Wharf Maintenance Leader to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure operations team, you will be responsible for the delivery of general maintenance projects, predominantly in the area of bridges and wharves, utilizing both in-house construction staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance works to deliver quality projects efficiently and cost-effectively to a pre-determined budget.
  • Supervise a team of construction staff, contractors, and external service providers to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation and Council policies relating to WHS, Environmental Management, and relevant construction standards and codes.
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Civil (Bridge Construction and Maintenance) works or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in similar construction works, ideally in the field of Bridges and Wharves, combined with ongoing professional development.
  • General Construction Induction (White) Card.
  • Coxswain 3 Commercial Licence.
  • SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans Certificates (Blue and Yellow Cards) or willing to obtain.
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
  • Licence to perform dogging or willing to obtain.
  • Current MR drivers Licence or willing to obtain.
  • Workcover High Risk Elevated Work Platform or willing to obtain.
