About the Role

The Central Coast Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Crew Leader Bridges and Wharves. This role is responsible for the delivery of general maintenance projects, predominantly in the area of bridges and wharves, utilizing both in-house construction staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute maintenance works to deliver quality projects efficiently and cost-effectively to a pre-determined budget.
  • Supervise a team of day labor staff, contractors, and external service providers for the construction of bridges and wharves.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation and Council policies relating to WHS, Environmental Management, and relevant construction standards and codes.
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Civil (Bridge Construction and Maintenance) works or related field, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in similar construction works.
  • General Construction Induction (White) Card.
  • Coxswain 3 Commercial Licence.
  • SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans Certificates (Blue and Yellow Cards) or willingness to obtain.
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Licence to perform dogging or willingness to obtain.
  • Current MR drivers Licence or willingness to obtain.
  • Workcover High Risk Elevated Work Platform or willingness to obtain.
