Special Needs Support Educator

Seeking a dedicated Educator to support a family in need. This role requires a caring individual who can provide one-on-one support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The successful candidate will work closely with the family to ensure the child's physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing care and support for a child with ASD
  • Assisting with daily routines, including school drop off and pick up
  • Overnight care and sleepovers
  • Maintaining open communication with the family and child

Requirements:

  • 16 hours per week
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Children's Services
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card and Police Clearance
  • Liability insurance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Child Protection Refresher
  • ABN (as this role is self-employed/contractor)
  • Photo ID
  • PRODA RA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with complex needs or challenging behaviors
  • Certification in early childhood education and care
  • First aid certification in education and care settings

Remuneration:

$35.50 per hour
