Job Description:

The role of the Administrative Officer is to provide support services to the Outpatient Administration team at War Memorial Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with the Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Continence department and collaborate with the broader Outpatient Administration team to provide administrative support.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 32 hours per week. Required days of work are Tuesday to Friday.

Responsibilities include providing effective and efficient administrative support, planning, organising and problem solving within a busy team environment and dealing with indirect supervision.

  • Experience in a clerical position including switchboard, reception, word processing, data entry, filing faxing, scanning etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and deal with multiple demands.
  • Commitment to provision of quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Experience using MS Office suite and healthcare databases or willingness to learn.
