The Regional Management Trainee Program is tailored to accelerate the growth of exceptional and driven individuals into demanding leadership positions within Sika, providing extensive training and practical experience in procurement across the APAC region.

This initiative aims to cultivate a robust and diverse talent pool for future senior management roles.

The program encompasses rigorous training and immediate engagement in procurement, focusing on:

  • Procurement Strategy and Management
  • Leadership Development
  • Category Management
  • Technology and Applications: Raw Materials and Finished Products
  • Procurement Tools, Systems, and Processes

Participants will benefit from personalized mentorship with Sika professionals from both the APAC region and our global headquarters, while gaining hands-on experience with procurement responsibilities.

Throughout the 18-month program, you will progress through:

  • Phase 1 - Company Orientation: Understanding the organizational culture, business strategy, and internal processes.
  • Phase 2 - Practical Experience: Immersing in procurement functions at the country or regional level, executing small to mid-sized projects.
  • Phase 3 - Business Impact: Expanding your role to a regional scope with a significant project that has a substantial business impact, including the possibility of relocation for six months to implement initiatives.

What You Can Anticipate:

  • In-Depth Training: Covering Sika's core strategies, procurement management functions, and digital tools, led by experts from the APAC region and our global procurement team.
  • Hands-On Projects: Lead and manage essential procurement projects that tackle current business challenges.
  • Exposure to Senior Management: Direct mentorship from Regional Senior Managers and participation in high-level meetings.
  • International Experience: A six-month overseas assignment to enhance your global procurement expertise.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will transition into a Management-Level Position within the APAC region.

Your Qualifications - Our Asset

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; prior experience of two to four years is advantageous.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Excellent communication and leadership potential
    • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant digital tools
    • Advanced English language proficiency
  • Personal Qualities:
    • Ambitious and highly self-driven
    • A strong curiosity and determination to tackle complex challenges.
    • Willingness to travel and gain multicultural insights
