Program Overview

Sika's Regional Management Trainee Program is a comprehensive development program designed to fast-track talented individuals into challenging managerial roles within the APAC region.

The program offers intensive training and immediate exposure to procurement, with a focus on:

  • Procurement Management and Strategy
  • Leadership Development
  • Category Management
  • Technology and Applications: Raw Material and Finished Goods
  • Procurement Tools, Systems, and Processes

During the 18-month program, you will go through three phases:

Phase 1: Understanding the Company

Gain an in-depth understanding of Sika's culture, business strategy, and internal processes.

Phase 2: Frontline Experience

Deep dive into procurement functions at the country or APAC regional level, with implementation of small-mid size projects.

Phase 3: Making a Business Impact

Expand to regional scope with a major project, with the potential for relocation to another country for 6 months to implement initiatives.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a Management-Level Position within the APAC region.

What to Expect

As a Regional Management Trainee, you can expect:

  • Comprehensive Training: Covering Sika's core strategies, procurement management functions, and digital tools, guided by experts from APAC and our global procurement team.
  • Real-World Projects: Lead and manage critical procurement projects that address current business challenges.
  • Senior Management Exposure: Direct coaching by Regional Senior Managers and involvement in senior-level meetings.
  • International Experience: A 6-month overseas assignment, enhancing your global procurement expertise.
Requirements

To be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • Be a recent graduate or have prior work experience of two to four years.
  • possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • have excellent communication and leadership potential.
  • be proficient in MS Office and relevant digital tools.
  • have advanced English language skills.
