Job Summary

This full-time position involves overseeing and coordinating the emergency nursing team to ensure efficient workflow within the emergency department. You will be responsible for providing leadership, support, and guidance to our nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

About the Role

As the Animal Care Manager - Emergency Department, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising the emergency nursing team, including roster management and performance evaluation
  • Collaborating with veterinarians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating and prioritizing patient care to ensure timely and effective delivery of emergency nursing services

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Cert IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in emergency and critical care nursing, with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of emergency nursing practices and procedures
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
