Childcare Lead Educator Role at G8 Education

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Childcare Lead Educator to join our team at Pelican Lynbrook in Lynbrook, VIC. As a key member of our centre, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children aged 6 months to 5 years.

About the Job

Job Title: Childcare Lead Educator

Location: Pelican Lynbrook, Lynbrook VIC

Estimated Salary: AU$65,000 - AU$75,000 per annum, depending on experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum ACECQA approved Diploma Qualification in Children's Services and proven experience working with young children. You will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging play-based learning activities, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities, including art, music, movement, and outdoor play
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes teamwork and respect for diversity
  • Observe and assess the development and progress of each child, and communicate with parents and colleagues about individual needs and achievements
  • Maintain a clean and organised room, including managing materials and supplies
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, following all policies and procedures
Requirements
  • A minimum ACECQA approved Diploma Qualification in Children's Services
  • Proven experience working with young children (0-5 years)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • First Aid certificate
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
