About the Role

The Pega System Architect is responsible for assisting with the building and maintaining Pega applications, including level 3 troubleshooting of applications.

The position duties include:

  • Assist with the building and maintaining of Pega applications according to specifications
  • Level 3 technical support of Pega built applications and implement fixes
  • Modify workflows, data models, and user interfaces
  • Design and execute test cases to validate functionality
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
  • Document technical designs and implementation approaches
  • Work closely with Business Architects to understand requirements
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to address technical issues

  • The ability to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Testing and debugging skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate openly and effectively and to build strong professional relationships with staff, stakeholders and clients at all levels and across boundaries together with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Clear written and oral communication skills. The ability to influence effectively and concisely to audiences with a range of backgrounds
  • Current, or eligibility for, Baseline Security Clearance through AGSVA – Must be an Australian Citizen

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Pega Certified System Architect (CSA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Programming, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Background in software development or technical implementation
  • Experience with multiple Pega projects or implementations
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Experience working in the government/public sector
  • Understanding of the Commission's role as an end-to-end regulator
