Job Description

As a key player in delivering technical expertise and innovative solutions across renewables and power utilities projects, you will be responsible for driving the development of high voltage substations, including gantries structures, transformer slabs and fire walls, oil containment systems, switchyard structures, footings, control buildings, earthworks, drainage, and roads.

About You and the Role

You are a highly skilled civil/structural engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a drive to create meaningful change. In this role, you will thrive in a collaborative environment where you can contribute your expertise and mentor others.

  • Tertiary Qualifications
  • Acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to Engineers Australia, or equivalent professional body.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Structural and civil design and design review of high voltage substations.
    • Due diligence / Risk assessment of civil and structural components of renewable energy projects.
    • Civil design and design review of renewable projects including solar farm earthworks, roads, erosion and sedimentation control, PV racking systems, geotechnical specification, pile design, pile test specification, battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind farm earthworks, roads, hardstands, erosion and sedimentation control, wind turbine foundations, site inspections and quality assurance reviews, transmission line towers and structures and foundations.
  • Requirements:
    • Previous experience in an engineering design consultancy environment.
    • Ability to solve complex technical and operational problems.
