The role of the National Asset Manager is pivotal in the long-term strategic management and sustainment planning of assets within our organization.
As a key leadership position, this individual will play a crucial role in influencing and shaping the asset management policies, practices, and standards across the organization.
The initial focus has been on the Bureau's observing network assets portfolio, encompassing radars, automatic weather stations, tsunami buoys, rain gauges, and flood warning equipment distributed across 12,500 sites across all states and territories of Australia.
Further expansion and implementation of asset management practices across other business areas is required to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
Key responsibilities include defining asset management policies, managing a team of professionals, ongoing review and refinement of replacement and investment plans, and sustainment planning for the long-term strategic management of assets.
The successful candidate will have expertise in asset management, with a proven track record of leading teams and implementing effective asset management strategies.
They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
