Administrative Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Professional to join our team at Townsville Catholic Education. This is a term-time, permanent position, completing 30 hours per week during school term, commencing in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level administrative support, demonstrating a high level of self-initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, autonomy, and dependability.
- Liaise with visitors, parents, staff, and students, presenting a professional image and creating a welcoming, warm, and positive impression.
- Deliver high-quality customer service as the initial point of contact for many key stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of operational tasks associated with reception and administration, including providing support to student reception, mail management and distribution, responding to incoming telephone and email inquiries, dealing professionally with and directing enquiries of parents, visitors, and contractors, and data entry to support registers and record management.
- Provide administration support that meets the day-to-day requirements of the school, including coordinating dissemination of information to staff and students, production of documents, assist with financial transactional processes, assist with daily entry of receipting and data entry of cash/EFTPOS receipts, assist in the production of internal and external documents, sort, prepare, and file documents as required.
- Support the delivery of tasks associated with community events and school functions, administer first aid when necessary, monitor inventory for stationery and first aid supplies, assist in student reception, uniform shop, and in other administration roles, and money handling.
- A current Working with Children Suitability Card, requiring a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.
- A minimum certificate level or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- The ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville.
- The ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
- A First Aid certificate or the ability to attain one.
- Fire safety training preferred or the ability to attain training.
The salary range for this position is $33.26-$34.66 per hour pending experience.
