Sustainability and Compliance Manager – Corporate Trust

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Compliance Manager to join our team at Perpetual Corporate Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the sustainability agenda and ensuring the business is ready for climate disclosure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sustainability agenda and provide subject matter expertise to management and clients on sustainability-related regulation and trends.
- End-to-end responsibility for identification, advice on, and implementation of key regulatory initiatives impacting the business.
- Create a climate action plan to prepare for mandatory climate-related disclosure and manage its implementation.
- Deliver the collection, collation, and reporting of Greenhouse Gas emissions metrics and manage external assurance of climate-related disclosure.
- Train and brief directors and staff on regulatory initiatives, including climate disclosure and ESG disclosure.
- Participate in internal and external working groups and prepare submissions to government and industry on regulatory change and initiatives.
- Respond to external ESG benchmarks and surveys and provide insights and support on ESG disclosure and thematics.
- Collate and provide data to clients and service providers to meet their climate reporting obligations.
- Lead the development and oversight of a community giving and volunteering program.
- Upskill on current Perpetual Group climate disclosures and practices to ensure knowledge transfer to PCT.
About You
We are looking for someone with a degree in law, business, accounting, economics, or a related field, and postgraduate qualifications are looked upon favorably. You should have a strong understanding of sustainability-related standards and legislation, as well as experience in managing and implementing regulatory change projects and ensuring compliance with regulation.
