Electrical Automation Specialist

We design and manufacture advanced automation systems used by producers and manufacturers across Australia.
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Automation Specialist to join our production and commissioning team — someone hands-on, safety-minded, and passionate about delivering high-quality, technical work.
This role offers variety and the satisfaction of seeing projects through from build to install.
Your Role Will Include:
- Building and wiring electrical panels for automation systems
- Installing, connecting and testing motors, VSDs, sensors, PLCs, and related equipment
- Commissioning and fault-finding on-site (interstate travel required)
- Ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and internal electrical standards
- Collaborating with mechanical and controls teams to deliver complete solutions
- Supporting the service team with troubleshooting or upgrades
What We're Looking For:
- Licensed QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanic
- Strong background in automation, machinery environments
- Comfortable reading electrical schematics and wiring control panels
- Confident in fault-finding and hands-on troubleshooting
- Willing and able to travel regularly (up to several days at a time)
- Professional and reliable, with a strong attention to detail
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in automation, packaging, weighing or bagging machinery
- Exposure to PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens or Omron
- Interest in career development into control systems, service, or project support
