Job Overview

The role of the Manager Cryptographic Services is to lead a team responsible for delivering and maintaining all aspects of cryptographic services, ensuring the continuation of business operations.

The successful applicant will be responsible for shaping the design and delivery of next-generation cryptographic capabilities, as well as the retirement of legacy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the ASIS Cryptographic Accounts, including keying changeovers for secure communications devices.
  • Manage AKMI operations and maintenance.
  • Provide effective customer service and accurate advice on operational matters and communications issues.
  • Establish and maintain effective client/customer relationships.
  • Oversight of the delivery and provision of cryptographic briefings and debriefings, as well as specialized training on COMSEC processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience as a cryptographic custodian or alternate custodian.
  • Experience in managing people or a small team.
  • AKMI qualified or willingness to complete the training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in liaising with other Government Departments on cryptographic systems operating procedures and future requirements.

Full and part-time positions, as well as flexible work hours, can be negotiated.

This office-based role is located in Canberra, and the successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
