The Brand |

We are seeking a Senior Apparel Designer for a pioneering fashion label based in Sydney. With over 25 years of experience, this Australian brand has become an essential part of the contemporary women's wardrobe.

The Role |

As a key member of the Design team, the Senior Designer is crucial in shaping the creative and strategic direction of the brand's product lines. This position focuses on translating the brand's vision into innovative and trend-responsive designs, ensuring they align with market needs and brand goals. Collaborating closely with the Lead Designer and fellow Designers, the Senior Designer will play a vital role throughout the entire design process.

You will create designs for seasonal collections that resonate with the brand's strategic objectives, taking responsibility for crafting compelling designs that reflect global and market trends.

Working alongside the Lead Designer and Head of Product, you will contribute to fulfilling retail objectives, delivering commercially viable products that maintain a clear brand identity appealing to our target audience. You will also support the Lead Designer in enhancing the product ranges and mentoring the design team.

Your efforts will aim to boost brand competitiveness, maximize sales, and meet financial targets while adhering to timelines and quality standards.

You will maintain a customer-centric approach, coordinating product ranges that drive sales and position the brand as a market leader. As a positive influence within the team, you will build strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, negotiating beneficial outcomes while collaborating with Production and Planning to ensure the brand's vision is realized in line with strategic goals.

The Skillset |

Strong technical proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively and influence various stakeholders regarding production and product matters. Proven experience in managing and implementing change. Solid background in product design and management, capable of multitasking and demonstrating flexibility while working independently. A genuine passion for fashion, with a keen sense of trends, design, and construction. A proactive approach to achieving results. Proficient in PC and MAC software, with expertise in visual/interface design using Adobe Creative Suite. Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to set standards and execute plans, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, adapting to different personality styles and fostering strong working relationships both internally and externally. Enthusiastic about refining systems and processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
