Apprentice Mechanical Fitter Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter. This is a four-year training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified mechanical fitter.

The role involves assisting in the maintenance and repair of equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and pumps. You will work closely with experienced tradespeople and have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to safety and a willingness to learn. You should also have good communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the inspection and maintenance of fixed plant machinery
  • Learning to diagnose faults and perform mechanical repairs
  • Supporting preventative maintenance activities
  • Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
  • Attending formal training and completing requirements
  • Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards
  • Demonstrating behaviours aligned with company values

Requirements:

  • Year 12 completion or equivalent
  • Current driver's licence
  • Strong interest in mechanical systems
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to safety and ongoing learning
