Automotive Career Pathways Executive

As the Automotive Career Pathways Executive, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining a strong presence for automotive career pathways in the region. This position focuses on member retention and acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and promoting automotive industry career opportunities through school and community programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise MTA membership retention and acquisition through site visits, events, and service promotion.
  • Build strong relationships with members, schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote automotive industry career opportunities.
  • Represent MTA at industry and government forums and roundtables to raise awareness of automotive industry career opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver a school engagement program to promote automotive industry career pathways.
  • Identify and assist with accessing government funding for programs and services related to automotive industry career development.
  • Coordinate and attend member and industry events to raise awareness of MTA services and promote automotive industry career opportunities.
  • Provide support and advice to members on workplace relations, WHS, and other business needs related to automotive industry careers.
  • Maintain accurate records and notes in CRM systems.
  • Travel regionally and occasionally internationally as required to promote automotive industry career opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing, business, or commerce, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, and analytical thinking.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet-based tools.
  • Preferred experience in stakeholder engagement, including schools and government agencies.
  • Qualifications in Mentoring or Counselling, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of vocational education and training pathways, particularly in the automotive industry.
  • Experience working with and mentoring youth, students, or young people in the automotive industry.
