Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Kitchen Hand to join our team at Rowethorpe Catering Centre in Bentley on a casual basis. The primary purpose of this role is to provide assistance in the kitchen, preparing food, and maintaining a clean and compliant kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and presenting breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and expertly crafting a variety of coffee and espresso beverages as a skilled barista.
  • Providing kitchen hand services, including food preparation, modifying food texture, apportioning food accurately, and serving food to residents.
  • Managing cafe operations, including customer orders, cash handling, and inventory control.
  • Assisting in delivering meals to other Juniper Bentley sites when necessary.
  • Cleaning cooking areas and equipment to a high standard, and maintaining the coffee preparation station and cafe seating areas.

Requirements:

  • Valid WA driver's license
  • Valid work rights in Australia
  • Experience in a commercial cooking environment or aged care catering
  • Certificate 3 in Hospitality and/or Barista Qualification highly desirable
  • Safe food handling practice and hygiene standards
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
