About the Opportunity
  • This role offers on-the-job training with a view to building autonomy in scoping and leading geotechnical field investigations.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop your geotechnical interpretation skills and be an integral part of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Scope and supervise field investigations, working with trusted drillers to achieve project outcomes.
  • Interpret the results of insitu and laboratory testing and log soils according to AS 1726 Geotechnical Site Investigations.
  • Prepare factual and interpretive geotechnical reports with support from senior members of the Geotechnical Team as required.
  • Integrate with project teams from various disciplines across the business to ensure geotechnical findings are appropriately incorporated into designs.
  • Provide engineering services, technical input, and direction in geotechnical design.

Requirements:

  • A graduate or early career geotechnical engineer with 2-3 years of full or part-time fieldwork supervision experience.
  • Eager to apply/develop fieldwork supervision and geotechnical engineering skills to projects across water, transport, and local government disciplines.
  • A relevant engineering degree qualification.
  • An Australian drivers license.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organisation and report writing skills.
  • A team first mentality with excellent collaboration skills and a safety focus.
  • A positive, flexible, and versatile approach to tasks.
