The Opportunity:

Based in Adelaide, you will have the opportunity to join the Geotechnical Team and work with a variety of disciplines across the business. You will be given on the job training with the view to building autonomy in scoping and leading geotechnical field investigations, while being supported in your development of geotechnical interpretation skills and an integral part of the team.

In this role you will:

  • Work in a collaborative team environment
  • Scope and supervise field investigations, working with our trusted drillers to achieve the required project outcomes
  • Interpret the results of insitu and laboratory testing and log soils in accordance with AS 1726 Geotechnical Site Investigations
  • Prepare factual and interpretive geotechnical reports with support from senior members of the Geotechnical Team as required
  • Integrate with project teams from a variety of disciplines across the business to ensure geotechnical findings are appropriately incorporated into Tonkin designs
  • Provide engineering services, technical input and direction in geotechnical design

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be a graduate or early career geotechnical engineer with 2-3 years of full or part time fieldwork supervision experience and be eager to apply/develop fieldwork supervision and geotechnical engineering skills to projects across the water, transport and local government disciplines, as well as:

  • Strong organisation and report writing skills
  • A team first mentality with excellent collaboration skills and a safety focus.
  • A positive, flexible and versatile approach to the wide variety of tasks you will be involved with.
