In this role, you'll:

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate network and tunnel management systems to optimize customer journeys on the State transport network in Regional NSW as part of a Regional Transport Operations Centre team.
  • Identify unusual congestion and delays, including impacts on transport corridors or routes.
  • Operate control systems for the State network, including traffic and tunnel management, to achieve efficient customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Transport Management Centre's traffic operations room to achieve shared goals.
  • Work rotating day/night shifts, public holidays, and attractive penalty and overtime rates based at the McLeods Shoot Regional Transport Operations Centre.

About You

  • Experience managing unplanned incidents in a control room environment is essential. You should be able to evaluate and report outcomes, engage with stakeholders, and manage tight deadlines.
  • Your ability to collaborate with professionals across levels and divisions, exercising sound judgement, risk mitigation, and problem-solving, will help you succeed.
  • Experience in an operations control centre environment, network management, and computerized electronic traffic and transport systems, along with effective communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, is highly desirable.
