In this role, you'll:

Responsibilities

• Join our Regional Transport Operations Centre in one of 4 x Operations Coordinator positions, operating a range of network and tunnel management systems and coordinating responses to planned events and unplanned incidents to optimise the customer experience when travelling on the State transport network in Regional NSW.
• Identify and assess unusual congestion and delays, including any impacts to transport corridors or routes.
• Operate control systems for the State network (traffic and tunnel), including tunnel ventilation, power, fire and drainage systems, and network management devices (such as variable message signs, variable speed limit signs and lane use management signs), to optimise the customer journey experience.
• Work closely with the Transport Management Centre's traffic operations room with a focus on achieving team goals and objectives.
• Be based on-site at the McLeods Shoot Regional Transport Operations Centre in Northern NSW; 24/7 operations with rotating day/night shifts, public holidays when required, and attractive penalty and overtime rates plus 5 weeks annual leave per year.

About you

• You are experienced in managing unplanned incidents within a control room environment, including evaluating and reporting on outcomes, engaging with high-profile stakeholders, and managing tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
• Your ability to collaborate with professionals across all levels and divisions, and proven ability to exercise sound judgement, risk mitigation and problem-solving, ideally within a transport and tunnel environment, will help you succeed.
• If you have experience in an operations control centre environment, network management, and computerised electronic traffic and transport systems or similar, along with effective communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, this could be the right career opportunity for you.
