Job Title: Operations Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing unplanned incidents within a control room environment, including evaluating and reporting on outcomes, engaging with high-profile stakeholders, and managing tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.

This role requires the ability to collaborate with professionals across all levels and divisions, exercise sound judgement, risk mitigation, and problem-solving, ideally within a transport and tunnel environment. If you have experience in an operations control centre environment, network management, and computerised electronic traffic and transport systems or similar, along with effective communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, this could be the right career opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and assess unusual congestion and delays, including any impacts to transport corridors or routes.
  • Operate control systems for the State network (traffic and tunnel), including tunnel ventilation, power, fire and drainage systems, and network management devices (such as variable message signs, variable speed limit signs and lane use management signs), to optimise the customer journey experience.
  • Work closely with the Transport Management Centre's traffic operations room with a focus on achieving team goals and objectives.
