
Commercial Insurance Manager

Our company is seeking a skilled Commercial Account Manager to join its team. This role involves working closely with account producers and marketers to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
Job Description- Maintain high retention rates of existing business through exceptional customer service;
- Attend external meetings as required;
- Respond promptly to client inquiries via email and phone;
- Prepare client documents, including renewal summaries and proposals;
- Manage monthly expiry lists and follow up on outstanding information;
- Monitor abeyances for missing information;
- Update spreadsheets, such as Statements of Values and Contractors Equipment Schedules;
- Liaise with the placement team on placements, renewals, and policy changes;
- Handle the complete broking process for small to mid-size policies;
- Review leases and contract documents to provide coverage advice;
- Provide bid costing and recommend coverage for clients;
- Complete certificate requests;
- Recommend additional coverage to clients using a coverage checklist;
- Quote and issue premium finance contracts as requested;
- Participate in internal renewal strategy meetings;
- Proactively manage account receivables;
- Adhere to company policies and procedures;
- Maintain continuing education credits for licensing;
- Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.
- Level 2 Insurance License;
- Minimum 5 years of account management experience and strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance (construction insurance an asset);
- CAIB, CIP, FCIP or CRM designation considered an asset along with University and/or College education;
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills;
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Applied Epic;
- Friendly professional demeanor with business acumen;
- Natural ability to thrive in a team environment and work well with others;
- Driven to succeed and represent the company and personal brand cohesively and confidentially;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks without guidance;
- Punctual with strong attendance history.
