About the Role

Acumen Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ADF Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team on a locum basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert rehabilitation services to ADF personnel who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply your clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel in their recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Perform a range of assessments, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite assessments, and activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including medical specialists, other treatment providers, and allied health professionals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each client.
Requirements
  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy, or Social Work.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and passion for helping people rehabilitate.
  • Ability to work the hours 07:30 – 15:30 across various ADF bases across Australia.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal.
  • 12 months occupational rehabilitation experience.
  • Australian Citizenship.
