ADF Rehabilitation Consultant - Locum Opportunity

Acumen Health is seeking a highly skilled ADF Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team on a locum basis. As a subject matter expert, you will work across various ADF bases across Australia, providing expert rehabilitation services to support the recovery and function of ADF personnel.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and dynamic environment, with the chance to develop your skills and expertise in occupational rehabilitation. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to support the achievement of a common goal, and will have the opportunity to engage with high-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply your clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury.
  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic, or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers, and allied health professionals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans.
Requirements
  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy, or Social Work.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and passion to help people rehabilitate.
  • Ability to work the hours 07:30 – 15:30 across various ADF bases across Australia.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal.
  • 12 months occupational rehabilitation experience.
  • Australian Citizenship.
