**Job Overview:**

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wesley House Residential Aged Care facility team as a Personal Care Attendant to deliver exceptional care and support to our residents across all five facilities.

Please note that we are only considering applications for morning and/or night shifts.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver tailored personal care services according to resident needs and preferences.
  • Promote respect, equality, and responsiveness in interactions with residents.
  • Assist residents in line with their individualized care plans.
  • Operate equipment, such as lifting aids, with expertise and safety.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and accreditation efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Designated Nurse for task coverage and coordination.
  • Prioritize tasks and report outcomes effectively.
  • Provide essential physical care, including toileting, showering, and dressing.
  • Recognize the importance of family members, friends, and volunteers in resident care.
  • Foster open communication with customers and act on feedback proactively.

**Essential Skills & Qualifications:**

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation principles (desirable).
  • Provide high-quality client care aligned with current Care Plans.
  • Show experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Awareness of relevant Aged Care legislation (desirable).
  • Understand the aged care and community services sector.
  • Possess Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualifications.
