About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Support Specialist to join our Intensive Bail Initiative team in Mount Isa. As a key member of our team, you will provide holistic, trauma-informed case management and deliver wrap-around support to the families of adolescents who are on bail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management and support to families of high-risk young people on bail
  • Identify strengths and establish goals for young people and their families, and review progress towards these goals
  • Identify where additional assistance and external services are required, and provide appropriate information, support, and referrals
  • Promote skills that increase health, safety, and development
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in working with the families of young people who have been in contact with the justice system
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families
  • Strong report writing, analytical, and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service
