About the Role

Datacom is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team. As a key member of our consulting team, you will work closely with sales, account management, and technical domains to understand business requirements and architect cost-effective technology-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end solutions and architectures across multiple technical domains and internal lines of business.
  • Provide pre-sales support and expertise to sales teams in areas of expertise.
  • Develop client relationships and translate business/technical requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in bid or tender engagements.
  • Develop Request for Solution responses and Statement of Works, including costings for high-level solutions using infrastructure, storage, network, public or hybrid cloud services.
  • Develop, facilitate, and engage in additional business growth opportunities for Datacom.
  • Engage with internal operational teams to maintain a thorough understanding of managed services and related contractual obligations.
  • Undertake Project Delivery encompassing high-level solution architecture, detailed design, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee Project Delivery encompassing advice on development, design, and implementation.
  • Continuously update knowledge and mentor to ensure that skills of our Architect practice and team stay relevant in the ever-changing face of information technology and Federal Government ICT and Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Provide technical thought leadership, both internally and externally, to key stakeholders, contributing to the development of reference architectures, blueprints, and product offerings.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 10 years' IT experience within a consulting IT environment, with exceptional hands-on experience in the delivery of sizeable infrastructure, cloud, IT outsourcing, storage, backup, network, and/or cloud adoption/migration projects. You will bring a successful track record in solution architecture and technical sales, with outstanding business knowledge in areas such as corporate structure, ROI, TCO, budget, and planning strategy. You will be self-driven, possess excellent customer liaison skills, and a passion for technology.
