Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual to fill the position of Lead Aviation Maintenance Manager at our Perth facility.

This is a full-time role that reports directly to the Regional Maintenance Director - Southern.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures and certification requirements in their area of responsibility.
  • Maintain the engineering infrastructure at their maintenance base to ensure safe and compliant conduct of all engineering activities.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with aircraft and ground support equipment maintenance.
Description of Duties

The successful candidate will provide proactive leadership to the Perth Engineering based staff and participate in broader engineering leadership directives.

  1. Ensure schedule-based rostering to meet contract requirements.
  2. Review planned maintenance activities in advance.
  3. Coordinate manpower, equipment, tooling, data, and aeronautical products for timely completion of all maintenance activities.
  4. Monitor and control maintenance OTP, efficiency, costs, and other KPIs at the Perth Engineering base.
  5. Amend all regulatory and maintenance data held at their base.
  6. Ensure the serviceability of tooling and equipment and manage a preventative maintenance/service program for engineering ground support equipment.
  7. Monitor training and performance requirements for engineering staff.
  8. Monitor, report on, and participate in WHS issues and directives.
  9. Perform other duties as directed by AMO leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Proven self-starter with a flexible attitude.
  • Proven ability to manage a close-knit team and work unsupervised.
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative.
  • Ability to manage strict deadlines.
  • Experience in airline operations.
  • Based in Perth.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Hold a CASA B1 or B2 license and be eligible for Saab 340 type training.
