Senior Risk Management Lead

We are seeking a Senior Risk Management Professional to lead our audits across Market, Liquidity, and Funding risks. As a Senior Risk Manager, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality audit reports that aid stakeholders in making informed decisions.

  • You will operate as the Team Leader across audits, effectively coordinating and directing team members.
  • Deliver assigned scope areas of the audit from Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting, and through to audit closure.
  • Conduct interviews with customers and conduct process walkthroughs to understand and risk assess the business' risk and control environment.
  • Draft issues and agree factual accuracy and ratings with stakeholders.
  • Prepare simple, meaningful, and easy-to-read audit reports and issue logs.

You will also supervise, coach, and support the development of more junior team members working on audits where you are the Team Leader.

The ideal candidate will have experience in internal or external audit, Line 2 risk management, or Line 1 financial services. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to focus on key issues and details.

The following skills and qualifications are desirable:

  • Valuation and modelling of financial instruments.
  • Experience with building, validating, and/or testing liquidity risk modelling and frameworks.
  • Prudential Standard APS 210 Liquidity experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Actuarial Studies, Finance, Business, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
