Senior Tax Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will have the opportunity to step into a leadership position and manage both client portfolios and internal staff.

You will be expected to work proactively, communicate clearly, and maintain excellence in service delivery even under pressure.

  • Manage a portfolio of SME clients for all tax and accounting matters independently.
  • Prepare and review income tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and business advice in both Mandarin and English.
  • Handle complex tax issues including FBT, GST, CGT, Division 7A, and transfer pricing.
  • Supervise and review work of junior team members, and lead staff training.
  • Oversee the quality and efficiency of internal workflow and client deliverables.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, explaining complex tax issues in plain language.
  • Support leadership in refining internal systems and maintaining a strong team culture.
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA or CA qualified (or near completion).
  • At least 7 years of progressive tax experience in public practice or corporate tax.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax law; international tax experience is an asset.
  • Experience with FBT, GST, CGT, Division 7A, and transfer pricing.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Proficient in Xero, MYOB, LodgeIt, and other cloud-based platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
