Lead Tax Strategy

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the tax strategy for one of Australia's leading retirement living providers. This is a career-defining opportunity to step into a key leadership role, ensuring we meet all taxation obligations while optimising tax benefits and minimising exposure. You will be responsible for leading tax compliance across GST, income tax, land tax, stamp duty, and withholding taxes. Your expertise will also be essential in overseeing tax reporting, provisioning, and financial statement disclosures in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).

  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies aligned with our business objectives.
  • Provide expert tax advice on business operations, capital structures, and projects, working closely with Finance, Treasury, and Legal teams.
  • Monitor and interpret legislative changes, ensuring proactive tax risk management.
  • Collaborate with external advisors, the ATO, and auditors to manage tax risks and compliance.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced professional with a relevant tax law qualification and deep expertise in Australian corporate tax law. You will have a background in the retirement living or property sector, or in a leading global accounting firm specialising in tax advisory or compliance for property portfolios. Proven track records in Senior Manager-level tax roles within large corporate or multinational environments are highly valued.

  • Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance, strategy, and risk management.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset, with the ability to drive initiatives and process improvements.
