- Salary range: $89,663 to $98,556 per annum (HEO6)

- 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
- 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown

About the role
The Academic Advisor empowers students to achieve their educational and personal goals by providing comprehensive advice and guidance, collaborating with university stakeholders to ensure resources are current. The role leads strategic initiatives including the Targeted Tutorial Assistance program, Oorala Indigenous Scholars program, and TRACKS success program, working with community partners to support student achievement.
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
Lived experience as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with university success or extensive experience in student support or program administration.A strong commitment to the academic success of UNE's Indigenous students and understanding of their challenges.Deep knowledge of university systems and frameworks, with the ability to make these accessible for students.Strong leadership and relationship-building skills within university and professional networks.Effective organisational skills demonstrated through managing programs or projects for tertiary students.About the Department
