Job Title: Direct Support Worker

CPL - Choice, Passion, Life is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Worker to join our team. As a Direct Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including showering, toileting, dressing, and administering medications
  • Assisting with domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Supporting individuals with mobility and transferring them using hoists and slide sheets
  • Accompanying individuals to community activities, such as doctors' appointments, grocery shopping, and social events
Requirements:
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
  • Commitment to infection prevention and control measures, including the use of PPE as directed
  • A smartphone with an iOS 13.0 and up operating system or an Android 6.0 and up operating system
