About the Role

At Support Care Angels PTY LTD, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our clients, providing them with the support and care they need to live independently and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with travel and transport for clients who require help getting to their daytime activities, place of study, or workplace.
  • Household tasks, including cleaning, home and yard maintenance, laundry, and meal preparation and delivery.
  • Assistance with personal activities, such as supporting daily living and life skills, including hygiene, dressing, and domestic tasks.
  • Assistance with life stage transitions, including strengthening clients' ability to coordinate their supports and live at home and be part of the community.
  • Participation in the community, supporting clients during individual and group activities, and supporting shopping, medical appointments, and social activities.
  • Development of life skills, supporting clients to live as autonomously as possible, including the ability to travel and use public transport independently or with minimal support.

Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate 3 in aged care, disability care, individual support, and/or community care or equivalent.
  • Current First aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Australian Federal police check.
  • Willingness to obtain medication certification.
  • Ability to work with diverse people.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Satisfactory computer skills.
  • Driver's license preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Calm and rational response to emergency situations.
