Vehicle Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Vehicle Procurement Specialist. As a key member of our vehicle procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing used vehicles from various suppliers.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and has excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will work closely with customers, wholesale buying and selling agents, and other stakeholders to achieve our dealership's goals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in vehicle procurement, sales, or customer service roles. A basic working knowledge of the wholesale vehicle market and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable. About the Role:
- Purchasing vehicles from various sources, including private sellers and trade buyers
- Liaising with customers on wholesale matters and negotiating prices
- Main contact between the used cars department and wholesale buying and selling agents
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with trade buyers for disposal of unwanted stock
- Negotiate with private sellers to purchase vehicles at competitive prices
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
- Meet dealership monthly KPI targets and contribute to business growth
- Maintain accurate records and reports of vehicle purchases and sales
Requirements:
- Previous experience in vehicle procurement, sales, or customer service roles
- Basic working knowledge of the wholesale vehicle market
- Mechanical knowledge and/or paint/panel background preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
