Senior Used Vehicle Buyer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven used vehicle procurement specialist to join our high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the buying process and be able to build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and purchasing quality used vehicles through auctions, dealerships, trade-ins, and private sales
  • Accurately appraising vehicles and negotiating purchase prices to maximize profitability
  • Staying up-to-date with current market trends, demand, and resale values to inform buying decisions
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
  • Ensuring all purchases meet company standards for quality, compliance, and profitability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the buying process and what makes a great used car
  • Confidence in building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest or experience in used vehicle operations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Hold a current and valid manual driver's licence
  • Hold (or can obtain) a current Salesperson's Licence
