Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex cost analysis through contract change proposals, implementing cost estimation policy and processes, and ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory policies.

The role requires the ability to deliver cost-related documentation, manage cost data analysis and assurance activities, and engage with key stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will need to understand Defence strategic objectives and initiatives, and support the program review of whole-of-life cycle costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and organisational skills with attention to detail;
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret and develop costs in support of operational decisions;
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to be assertive in decision-making;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to follow instructions and processes in accordance with policy, legislation, and operating frameworks;
