Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to lead the migration of on-premise ETLs to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing Data Warehousing solutions using cloud-native tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer, Dataflow, and Cloud Functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data warehousing solutions on GCP.
  • Lead the migration of on-premise ETLs to GCP using cloud-native tools.
  • Work on IT data analytics projects and have hands-on experience in migrating on-premise ETLs to GCP.
  • Develop extensive experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading using ELT design and development in Oracle Data Integrator 12C or equivalent technology.
  • Have working experience in CI/CD using GitLab and Jenkins.
  • Document all work implemented using Confluence and track all requests and changes using Jira.

Requirements:

  • 8-11 years of experience with strong knowledge in migrating on-premise ETLs to GCP.
  • 3-5 years of experience using cloud-native tools and Hadoop development or equivalent.
  • GCP-certified Associate Cloud Engineer.
  • Practical understanding of data modelling, performance tuning, and debugging.
