VetPartners is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our veterinary hospital and GP centre, driving our mission of delivering the highest standards of veterinary care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culture, People, and Team Leadership: Foster a positive hospital culture based on site values, vision, and mission, ensuring clear role responsibilities and staff retention.
  • Leadership and Planning: Develop and implement site strategy and annual plans, focusing on innovation and driving revenue increases while managing expenses within the budget.
  • Financial Accountability: Oversee hospital expenditure, including capex requests and ROI calculations, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining necessary licenses.
  • Operations: Oversee daily hospital operations, including workflow, business functions, and staffing levels, promoting strong referral partner relationships with primary care hospitals, clinics, and surgeries.
  • Client Service, Business Development, and Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hospital's services and attract new clients, while maintaining a strong online presence.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years' experience in a senior business management role, with qualifications in business management or human resource management.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a large cohort of people, including employee relations, workforce planning, change management, and conflict resolution.
  • Strategic-minded, with the ability to envision and articulate clear and effective plans, and experience in developing and meeting budgets.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to design systemic and repeatable solutions to address emerging issues.
