About the Role
VetPartners is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our veterinary hospital and GP centre, driving our mission of delivering the highest standards of veterinary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Culture, People, and Team Leadership: Foster a positive hospital culture based on site values, vision, and mission, ensuring clear role responsibilities and staff retention.
- Leadership and Planning: Develop and implement site strategy and annual plans, focusing on innovation and driving revenue increases while managing expenses within the budget.
- Financial Accountability: Oversee hospital expenditure, including capex requests and ROI calculations, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining necessary licenses.
- Operations: Oversee daily hospital operations, including workflow, business functions, and staffing levels, promoting strong referral partner relationships with primary care hospitals, clinics, and surgeries.
- Client Service, Business Development, and Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hospital's services and attract new clients, while maintaining a strong online presence.
Requirements
- Minimum five years' experience in a senior business management role, with qualifications in business management or human resource management.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a large cohort of people, including employee relations, workforce planning, change management, and conflict resolution.
- Strategic-minded, with the ability to envision and articulate clear and effective plans, and experience in developing and meeting budgets.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to design systemic and repeatable solutions to address emerging issues.
